Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speciality Doctor in Oral Surgery to work within Northumbria Healthcare. This is a permanent contract based in Northumbria Healthcare, to work in sites across Northumbria, North Tyneside.
The successful candidate will be working with the other Oral Surgeons in Northumbria Healthcare, and Maxillofacial colleagues from Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals who provide clinical activity into the service in Northumbria. The post holder will need to be able to work flexibly to address the priorities of the service, to support RTT performance targets with the benefit of having a largely predictable schedule.

Qualifications
- MFDS/ FDS or MJDF
- Full registration and a License to Practice with the General Dental Council (GDC)
- Academic excellence e.g. prizes, merits, awards
- Sedation qualification or equivalent
Experience
- Evidence of a minimum of 7 years post qualification clinical experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades
- Recognised management or leadership course
- Experience as a clinical and/ or educational supervisor for trainees
