An opportunity has become available to join the Lung Cancer Screening Programme at Northumbria Healthcare as a Waiting List and Appointments Coordinator. The Lung Cancer Screening Programme is a national scheme that identifies people aged 55‑74 at increased risk of lung cancer, to improve detection and subsequently treatment outcomes for patients. This role ensures an accurate and efficient waiting‑list and bookings service for the programme, acting as the first point of contact for the Programme Team and coordinating all patient appointments and enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments and enquiries, discerning between queries to minimise interruption to the programme.
• Maintain an accurate and efficient waiting‑list and bookings service for the Lung Cancer Screening Programme.
• Support achievement of NHS waiting‑time targets, including Screening Scheduling, Cancer Waits and Diagnostics.
• Work trust‑wide in accordance with the organisation’s processes.
• Participate in all aspects of the administration service within the Lung Cancer Screening Programme.
