CNTW are recruiting to a new post of Head of EPRR and Health & Safety. This is a senior position within the Trust and will lead the emergency planning, health, safety and security function reporting to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the Chief Operating Officer.

We are looking for an individual who has good knowledge and experience of health and safety, emergency planning and security, preferably with experience of working in mental health settings. The successful candidate will have a passion for contributing to safe, effective high quality care for patients as well as being a great place to work.

The successful post holder will lead a team responsible for emergency planning, health, safety and security across one of the largest mental health and learning disability providers in the country.

The Main Duties Of The Job Include:

  • Responsibility for the overall EPRR function within the Trust, including major incident planning and business continuity.
  • Providing advice to front line clinicians around measures to maintain services and protect patients either through advice in an emergency or by advising clinicians around content of service business continuity plans.
  • Leading and managing the health, safety and security function for the Trust.
  • Be the key link person for all matters relating to the Health and Safety Executive.
  • Ensure full compliance with all RIDDOR reportable incidents and processes.
  • Support the effective system of risk management for both health, safety and environmental risk taking a key leadership role in these key areas.
  • Work with the safer care directorate to ensure an effective system of incident management and recording is in place across the Trust.
  • Develop and manage the key security systems which support safety and security across the Trust.
  • Work closely with the patient safety team on management of incidents and learning across the Trust.
