We are looking for a kind, reliable and energetic Personal Assistant (PA) / support worker to support our delightful 7-year-old daughter who has additional needs. She is a joyful, curious child who loves reading, singing and having fun. She can be very excitable and enjoys engaging with people who are patient, positive and encouraging. She needs some support with getting around, participating in activities and personal care.

We are looking for someone who can provide gentle, caring, attentive assistance while helping her enjoy activities, build confidence and explore the world around her. Her favourite things to do are read picture books, bounce on trampolines and ride on swings at the local park. The role is 4 hours per week during term time and 8 hours per week during school holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Provide gentle, caring, attentive assistance to a child with additional needs, supporting participation in activities and personal care as needed.
  • Support with getting around, engaging in activities, and building confidence and independence.
  • Create a positive, patient, and encouraging environment; engage with the child in a warm, supportive way.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Has experience supporting disabled children (preferred).
  • Patient, caring and dependable.
  • Genuinely enjoys engaging with children in a positive way to encourage interests and independence.
  • Comfortable with assisting with personal care.
