The Northumberland National Park Authority is dedicated to conserving and enhancing one of the UK’s most beautiful and historic landscapes. We’re seeking passionate and friendly individuals to join our team at The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre. Located in the heart of Northumberland, The Sill is a visitor hub that offers a wide range of services, events, and experiences for all ages, helping to promote the Park’s stunning natural beauty.
We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Visitor Welcome Assistants to provide excellent service to all visitors to The Sill and to help out in the Cafe at busy times. This is a key role that will involve assisting visitors in making the most of their experience, whether they’re here for an event, exhibition, or exploring the local area. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, helping to create a positive and memorable experience at Northumberland National Park.
Salary: £12.85 per hour
Contract: Variable hours contract with various options for a fixed work pattern if desired. Opportunity to pick up additional hours. Fixed term contract to 30/09/26. Based near Bardon Mill and Greenhead.
Requirements:
- Recent experience of working in tourism, retail or similar
- Good knowledge and obvious passion for Northumberland National Park
- Effective IT skills including use of a cash register
- To be friendly and approachable
- To be willing to help out in the Cafe during busy times
