Ready to lead and shape Occupational Therapy services across Northumberland? Northumberland County Council is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care Countywide Occupational Therapy Service as an Occupational Therapy Team Manager.
About the role
As an Occupational Therapy Team Manager, you will:
- Provide operational leadership to Occupational Therapy teams across Northumberland.
- Support staff through supervision, appraisal and professional development.
- Manage referral allocation and ensure resources are used effectively.
- Drive quality assurance, service improvement and good practice.
- Support service planning and implementation of strategic priorities.
- Make informed decisions regarding complex equipment and adaptation recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
Qualifications
- Registered with HCPC.
- Substantial Occupational Therapy experience within Adult Social Care or a related setting.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or managing staff.
- Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making skills.
- Passion for delivering high‑quality services and supporting team development.
- Ability to build positive relationships and lead change effectively.
- Capability to meet the travel requirements of the countywide service.
