Night Care Officer – 32.38 hours per week
Location: Kyloe House, Stannington, Morpeth, NE61 6DE.
Salary & Benefits
- £22,388 – £22,743 per annum – Basic salary.
- £4,375 per annum – Market force allowance reviewed annually.
- £9,680 - £9,833 per annum – Night and weekend enhancements.
- Approximate total starting salary: £36,443 per annum (including allowances). Enhancements apply between 8:00 pm – 6:00 am and weekends. These payments are additional to the basic salary.

Role – Night Care Officer
- Provide a safe, supportive and calm environment for young people overnight.
- Monitor wellbeing and respond appropriately to any incidents or concerns.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of observations and events.
- Support young people who may be unsettled during the night.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure effective handovers.
- Uphold safeguarding standards and follow all relevant policies and procedures.

Eligibility Criteria
- A good standard of education.
- Willingness to undertake training up to Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Note: This role does not meet UK Visa Sponsorship criteria.

- Working Pattern: Night shift pattern, working 22:30pm - 07:35am, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Disclosure Requirements: Enhanced DBS check required. This role is subject to safer recruitment and safeguarding checks.
