We are looking for a permanent, full time, time served, HGV Workshop Technician to join our team at our Tyne Mills Depot, Hexham, NE46 1XL. You will work to achieve the efficient and effective maintenance of the Council's vehicles and plant by preparing all vehicles to M.O.T and LGV testing station standards. You must be fully conversant with the maintenance / diagnostics and repair of LGV 'O' licence vehicles (7.5t up to 44t). You are to diagnose faults by road testing vehicles, visual inspections, by use of computerised diagnostic software and any other method agreed by industrial standards.
Requirements of the Job
- You must hold a NVQ level 3 or equivalent in subjects relevant to vehicle and plant maintenance.
- You must have an understanding of VOSA standards and maintenance requirements with respect to operator licensing.
