ROLE OF THE JOB

You will lead or be part of a team and will carry out highways repairs/maintenance tasks including:

  • Modular and block paving
  • Laying insitu concrete and associated steel reinforcement
  • Associated iron work (i.e., manholes, gully’s, valve cases)
  • Laying kerb and channels
  • Installing and repairing of all types of drainage pipes and systems and operate mechanical jetting plant
  • Fitting formwork and shoring-up equipment
  • Fitting metal concrete bollards and excavation work.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

  • Valid Driving Licence
  • Previous experience in Highways and Construction
  • Level 2 or Equivalent Qualification
  • The ability to understand complex detailed spoken and written instructions, as well as plans drawings schedules and calculate work requirements and keep accurate work records.
  • Able to plan, organise and prioritise resources and staff, including own time.
