An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and skilled arable operator to join The Northumberland Estates' arable team at Percy Farms on a permanent, full-time basis. This in-hand arable enterprise, based at Alnwick is approximately 1900 hectares, with cropping that includes winter wheat and barley, oilseed rape and spring cereals alongside a beef finishing unit. Additionally, there is a grey partridge conservation project on a large area of the farm.
The main responsibilities will include operating Case tractors, Horsch drills and Amazone fertiliser spreader as well as relief spraying of an Agrifac or Horsch trailed sprayer. The successful candidate will have suitable experience and have a focus on high quality of work and attention to detail. PA1, 2, 4 and telehandler certificate will be required in addition to a full UK driving licence. Opportunities for further training will be provided. Accommodation is available on the estate.
