An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and skilled arable operator to join The Northumberland Estates' arable team at Percy Farms on a permanent, full-time basis. This in-hand arable enterprise, based at Alnwick is approximately 1900 hectares, with cropping that includes winter wheat and barley, oilseed rape and spring cereals alongside a beef finishing unit. Additionally, there is a grey partridge conservation project on a large area of the farm.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Operating Case tractors, Horsch drills and Amazone fertiliser spreader
  • Relief spraying of an Agrifac or Horsch trailed sprayer

The successful candidate will have suitable experience and have a focus on high quality of work and attention to detail. PA1, 2, 4 and telehandler certificate will be required in addition to a full UK driving licence. Opportunities for further training will be provided. Accommodation is available on the estate.
