Overview
Opened in 2006, Northumberland Supported Living Service (Sea Lodge) is a CQC registered service, currently rated as Good, which provides nurse led support to two adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Service users have secured tenancy agreements and live in a large, adapted bungalow within its own grounds overlooking a private beach in Northumberland. We are looking for a support worker to join our team at Sea Lodge.
Responsibilities
- Duties will include engaging the service users in activities
- Personal care
- Household duties
- Administration of medication
- Supporting service users to access the community
What is on offer
This is a part time (25 hours), permanent position. NCC Band 4 salary pro rata\’d £17,839 – £19,014.
Working pattern
There is a requirement to work days (typically 12.5 hour shifts from 07.45 to 20.15) and night shifts (typically 12 hour shifts from 20.00 to 08.00) on a rotational basis.
Requirements
- The successful candidate should have experience in a care setting, desirably with people with a learning disability and behaviours of concern, and should be flexible to the needs of the service and service users.
- NVQ level 2 in health and social care or equivalent is preferable
