We are looking for a Sheltered Scheme Officer to be based at Augur Place, Alnwick. This is a full-time, permanent role. This role involves managing sheltered housing schemes, promoting resident well-being, and ensuring effective tenancy management.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of a sheltered housing scheme and purpose-built bungalows designed for those with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Promoting resident well-being, community spirit, and independence.
- Facilitating support for scheme residents and managing tenancy processes.
- Fostering team spirit and accountability while prioritising customer service.
- Ensuring excellent service delivery and maintaining a high profile within the scheme.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Social Housing or Customer-focused experience.
- Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Enthusiasm and a passion for delivering excellent customer service to older people and those with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Benefits
- 26 days annual leave plus public/bank holidays, rising to 31 days after 5 years of service (pro rata for part-time employees).
