About The Role
We are seeking a committed Learning Practitioner to deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment within Health and Care. You will play a key role in creating engaging, career‑focused learning experiences that support student progress, achievement and progression. Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders, you will contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes excellent outcomes and prepares students for their next steps.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and high‑quality teaching and learning.
- Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback to support progress.
- Support the development of digital learning resources and innovative teaching approaches.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to a positive student experience, including induction, student voice and pastoral support.
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and college policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (or willingness to achieve within two years).
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject area.
- Level 2 English and Maths.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience of planning and delivering inclusive, engaging learning sessions.
- Ability to assess fairly and provide effective feedback to support student achievement.
- Experience supporting student progress, development and behaviour.
- Strong organisational skills, including maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to create inclusive learning environments that meet diverse learner needs.
- Effective use of digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and continuous professional development.
Desirable Skills & Experience (Optional)
- Experience contributing to quality assurance and improvement processes.
- Experience working with external stakeholders such as employers or community partners.
- Knowledge of educational pedagogy, assessment and innovative teaching practices.
- Experience supporting curriculum development or enrichment activities.
