Northstar Conversions has been designing and building high-quality campervan conversions for over 10 years. We are looking for a practical, skilled individual to join our workshop team. Before applying, it's important to understand the nature of the role. While we do undertake bespoke campervan builds and custom projects, the majority of our work involves assembling and fitting our established side and rear conversion systems using our in-house CNC‑manufactured components and proven designs. This is not primarily a van design role.
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical workshop work, takes pride in producing a high-quality finish, and is happy running the CNC, working on both repeatable production jobs and occasional bespoke projects.
The Role
- Running and using CNC
- Assembling and fitting CNC‑cut furniture
- Installing rear and side campervan conversions
- Interior fitting and finishing
- Vehicle preparation and workshop assembly work
- Carrying out bespoke modifications and custom projects when required
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
The Person
We are looking for somebody with strong practical skills and a good eye for detail. You may come from a background in:
- Joinery
- Cabinet making
- Shopfitting
- Boatbuilding
- CNC operating and programming
- Vehicle interior fitting
- Caravan or motorhome manufacturing
- General workshop or manufacturing environments
Campervan experience is not essential. The ideal candidate will be capable of undertaking bespoke work when required, but equally comfortable spending much of their time running our CNC and fitting and assembling our standard conversion systems.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent practical ability
- A high standard of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem‑solving skills and common sense
- Pride in producing quality work
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
What We Offer
- A varied and interesting role
- A mix of production and bespoke work
- A friendly and experienced workshop team
- The opportunity to develop your skills across a wide range of projects
- Competitive pay based on experience
If you're looking for a hands‑on role where quality matters and enjoy creating well‑built products, we'd love to hear from you.
