This role plays a key part in supporting the smooth and effective handling of claims across the business. You’ll be joining a collaborative, friendly team where your attention to detail, curiosity, and proactive approach will help ensure high‑quality claims administration, well‑informed decision‑making, and strong relationships across internal departments. From assisting with P&I and Non‑P&I matters to preparing reports and keeping our systems running efficiently, you’ll be an important contributor to both day‑to‑day operations and the continued development of our claims function.
What will you be doing?
- Responding to general enquiries and providing support for claims-related queries.
- Assisting with claims handling.
- Conducting research to support claims and general activities.
- Preparing and maintaining presentation materials, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Assisting with the administration, filing, and drafting of P&I and Non-P&I matters.
- Monitoring and progressing the setup of claims in internal systems.
- Collaborating with teams in FD&D, Underwriting, Loss Prevention, and other sectors.
- Supporting business development, networking, and maintaining an inclusive team environment.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of claims processes.
About you
- Efficient and effective administration skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to cope with demanding workloads.
- Understanding of the basics of P&I claims and the P&I insurance industry.
- Basic knowledge of shipping terms and common ship operations.
- Basic knowledge and experience in dealing with P&I/Non-P&I matters.
