Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Sustainability Consultant with strong expertise in LEED certification and sustainable building strategies for data center projects across EMEA. The ideal candidate brings practical delivery experience across design and construction phases, and is passionate about high-performance, low-impact infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver LEED certification scopes (NC, BD+C, ID+C) for data centers across multiple countries.
- Provide technical advisory on energy modeling, site sustainability, materials, water strategies, and indoor environmental quality.
- Collaborate closely with internal design teams and external consultants to integrate sustainability into all stages of the data center lifecycle.
- Support client engagements across 10–25 concurrent EMEA projects, ensuring LEED compliance and timely delivery.
- Prepare documentation and submissions for LEED Online; track scorecard progress.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure QA/QC on all sustainability documentation.
- Keep abreast of evolving global sustainability frameworks and LEED versions (e.g., v4.1).
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- 2–5 years of experience in LEED certification, preferably for data center or mission-critical infrastructure.
- LEED AP (BD+C or equivalent) credential required.
- Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, EPAct, EN 50600, and international building sustainability codes.
- Familiarity with One Click LCA, IESVE, eQuest, or equivalent tools.
- Excellent coordination, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Project management certifications (e.g. PMP) are a plus
- Fluent in English (other EMEA languages a plus).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Location and Travel
- The role is remote and any work whilst not on site will be home based. The preference is for the candidate to be based in the Netherlands or in the UK. Travel to client sites is to be expected for up to 20% of the time.
