Your Role: As a Program Governance and Performance Manager for Triton, you will develop, implement and oversee program governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with Defence Commonwealth and corporate policies. Triton is a high altitude, long endurance, remotely piloted aircraft system that provides long-range, persistent surveillance across Australia’s maritime approaches and its broader areas of interest.

If you are successful in securing this opportunity your key accountabilities are as follows but not limited to:

  • Establishing and maintaining program management standards, tools and processes across multiple projects.
  • Supporting program reviews, gate approvals and decision-making forums, including preparation of governance documentation, briefing packs and minutes.
  • The provision of assurance that program activities align with contractual, regulatory and security obligations.
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting on program performance against cost, schedule, risk, quality and capability outcomes.
  • Developing and maintaining program performance metrics and dashboards to support executive decision-making.
  • Identifying and escalating performance risks, issues and variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness as well as maintaining the program’s risk management framework, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks.
  • Conduct assurance activities to validate program compliance with Defence standards, security requirements and contract deliverables.
  • Support audits, program health checks and independent assurance reviews.

About You:

  • Minimum Diploma Project Management
  • Tertiary Business Management Qualifications
  • Technical qualification in a related field an advantage
  • Experience in using project management and planning tools
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Risk Management systems
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a performance management system
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated performance, people leadership and customer interaction
  • Demonstrated understanding of in service support roles, responsibilities and practices
  • A comprehensive knowledge of working within ISO 9001 standards framework
