About Your Opportunity:

Principal Mechanical Engineer Role:

Support all Mechanical designs, conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Thermal Analysis (CFD). Serve as a point of contact for customers, liaising with manufacturers and test houses.

Sign off on all mechanical designs, ensure conformance to processes during design, development, and build, and ensure compliance with requirements.

Produce, review, and approve technical documentation, and organize CAD activities using various CAD applications.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as Mechanical Design Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Analyze and justify mechanical designs and component choices.
  • Resolve mechanical issues during hardware design, development, manufacture, and testing.
  • Ensure baseline and change control activities follow Configuration Management (CM) processes.
  • Provide mechanical/electro-mechanical support across multiple programs.
  • Lead the mechanical team to ensure process and requirements compliance.
  • Produce, review, and approve technical documentation (drawings, BOMs).

Your Experience:

  • Strong background in Mechanical Design Engineering.
  • Engineering degree or extensive experience without a degree.
  • Knowledge of mechanical Defence Standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Capable of working under pressure in dynamic environments.
