Opportunity Overview
This is more than just a job; it's a mission. We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile submarine hardware programme within our Defence business. Working at the forefront of engineering innovation, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, developing and qualifying the next generation of submarine hardware capability. This is a highly visible leadership role offering the opportunity to shape programme success, influence key stakeholders and make a meaningful contribution to UK defence and national security.

Alongside developing and supporting UK and internationally deployed multi-domain command and control systems, our teams deliver critical technology that underpins the modern backbone of the Royal Navy. What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the successful delivery of complex hardware design and qualification projects against agreed cost, schedule and performance baselines.
- Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and delivery partners.
- Manage project priorities and resolve issues and conflicts to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
- Maintain accurate financial forecasts, resource plans and programme reporting.
- Provide regular updates on project performance, risks, opportunities and progress to senior stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects across the full design and development lifecycle.
- Significant experience managing internal and external stakeholders within complex programmes.
- A recognised project management qualification such as APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) or equivalent.
- Experience within Defence, Maritime, Aerospace or closely related highly regulated industries.
- Strong programme planning, financial management and risk management expertise.
- A technical degree, engineering background, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
