This role supports the Programme Manager in the delivery of Defence projects. Reporting to the Control Systems Account and as a linchpin in the Project Delivery Team, you’ll have the chance to work on a high-profile control systems development programme. Our UK Defence business is a Sovereign software and systems centre of excellence. As well as developing and supporting UK-wide and internationally deployed multi-domain command and control systems, our work is critical to the modern backbone of the Royal Navy. Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and key stakeholders across the business.
- Supports the Programme/Account Manager to manage project relationships, including partners, suppliers, and beneficiaries, in line with agreements, supplier code of conduct, and best practice stakeholder and contract management.
- These relationships will be managed through effective collaboration across the stakeholder community to ensure delivery objectives are met.
- Supports the Business Development function in pursuing and capturing new opportunities through to the award of the associated contract.
- Provides robust leadership to drive team performance, competence, and talent, and acts as a mentor and role model.

We are looking for:
- Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering/technical subject, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience.
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop people.
- Effective at working with people at all levels, using well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Professional in dealing with internal and external customers via in person, phone, and email communication.
- Security clearance: You must be able to gain and maintain the UK Security Check (SC).
