Opportunity Overview

This is more than just a job; it’s a mission. As a Business Analyst Team Lead within our Customer Transformation function, you will play a key role in shaping how we deliver critical solutions across defence and national security. You will lead a high-performing Business Analysis community, ensuring alignment with strategy while enabling teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will act as the bridge between strategy and delivery, driving excellence, supporting professional growth, and ensuring the right people are in the right roles to meet complex programme needs. Alongside leadership responsibilities, you will remain hands-on, spending the majority of your time delivering impactful, customer-facing work.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Business Analysts, creating an environment where individuals can grow and thrive
  • Align the Business Analysis community with organisational strategy, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery across programmes
  • Partner with leadership to shape resourcing, recruitment and workforce planning for the BA function
  • Act as a visible ambassador for Business Analysis, promoting best practice across engineering and customer teams
  • Maintain active involvement in customer-facing delivery, contributing to projects and bringing insight back into the community
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and successful outcomes

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong track record in project delivery and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience within the Defence or National Security sector, with a clear understanding of complex environments
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, User Experience principles and Systems Engineering practices
  • Demonstrated experience of leading, coaching or mentoring others within a team environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
