Our Engineering Team operates across two key development centres - New Malden in the UK and Hamburg in Germany - collaborating closely to develop and maintain Sperry Marine's diverse product portfolio and support an ambitious future roadmap.

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Engineering Department in New Malden on a 9–12 month contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments and combines technical expertise with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to full life-cycle software development
- Diagnose and resolve software issues experienced in the field
- Participate in AGILE-based development processes
- Engage in code reviews and regular team meetings
- Liaise with System Test teams on development progress
- Provide technical leadership within the team
- Strong analytical skills and experience reviewing code/design for large projects
- Extensive experience with multi-threaded and distributed applications, ideally with network protocol knowledge
- Proven background in software development (8+ years preferred)
- Expertise in developing Windows desktop applications using C#
- Experience with .NET, Windows Forms, and TCP/IP & UDP protocols
- Strong communicator and collaborative team player
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused
