Opportunity
The V&V engineer will support the planning, conduct and reporting of V&V work packages and activities in order to prove our hardware and software product compliance to their associated requirements. The V&V Engineer will work within multi-disciplined project teams under direction of the project delivery management and V&V leadership to effectively and efficiently deliver the assigned V&V activities. Our UK Defence business is a Sovereign software and systems centre of excellence. As well as developing and supporting UK wide and internationally deployed multi‑domain command and control systems, our work is critical to the modern backbone of the Royal Navy. Responsibilities
- Promote best practice for V&V engineering lifecycle activities in accordance with Corporate and Industry standards.
- Conduct V&V activities in compliance with approved management plans, using approved methods, competent personnel, effective delivery systems and processes.
- Lead/Supervise V&V engineers output as required for scoped work package delivery.
- Plan, conduct and report task activities to the level of Quality expected by the V&V and Project management, including:
- Project requirements V&V input
- Design Estimate compilation
- Compilation, issue and review of management plans, processes and metrics
- Project Design & Risk reviews
- IADT activities
- Reporting task progress to timescale and quality requirements
- Fault/Issue investigation, review and reporting
- Implementation of Project security measures related to V&V activities
- Reporting to NG Management and Project teams
- Apply IVVTQA principles and best practice across the SE lifecycle, from requirements, design, integration and the V&V stages, supporting the acceptance process.

Qualifications
- Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience in IVVTQA/ITEA for Systems Engineering/Software Engineering or Control Systems Engineering.
- Supervision, coaching and guidance of junior engineers.
- Competent in the use of DOORS or similar requirements management and test tools.
- Significant (=>5 years) Experience of planning and conduct of IVVTQA activities within a Systems Engineering lifecycle.
- Natural problem solver, through RCA, develop solutions to a variety of problems, plan/implement remediation actions to resolution.
- Previous IVVTQA experience in accordance with Military/Defence/Industry Standards.
