As a Principal Cloud Solutions Architect working within the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) you will be bringing your knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Entra to the projects and programmes of Northrop Grumman and our customers. You’ll have the chance to consult, design and build systems as part of our Secure Sovereign Landing Zone, delivering mission impact throughout both our Defence and Cyber & Intelligence businesses. From complex C4ISR systems in service with the Royal Navy, to specialist Defence, intelligence and information systems, Northrop Grumman is a trusted mission partner delivering technology projects at scale and pace.

Responsibilities:

Working with stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional requirements, in line with overarching project goals.

Designing and building compliant, sovereign and secure cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code techniques and DevSecOps tooling.

Producing both high- and low-level designs for Azure and hybrid-cloud systems.

Mentoring, training and inspiring both engineers and management to adopt cloud solutions and embrace emerging technologies.

We are looking for:

Extensive experience working within Microsoft Cloud Architecture / Systems Design, Deployment and Administration, with recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positions.

Microsoft Certified in both Infrastructure and Security pillars, with experience of designing, deploying and administering cloud based solutions.

Extensive experience of administration of Linux and Windows Operating Systems within large corporate environments.
-
Extensive experience of designing, deploying and troubleshooting IP networks, in on-premises, cloud and hybrid architectures.

Extensive experience of Infrastructure as Code development in languages such as Powershell, Python, Typescript and Bash.

Experience in using Architectural Methodologies & Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF).

Experience of working in highly regulated and secured environments.
Security clearance:
