Opportunity: This is more than just a job; it’s a mission. As a Head of PMO, you are a key member of the Leadership team and will work on national critical programmes to ensure a consistent approach to Programme Delivery and Project Control processes across NSS. You will shape our PMO and Project Controls function to deploy best practice, as well as lead our team of Project Controllers. You’ll be at the forefront of developing reliable program and scheduling analysis and advice on critical programmes, bids and investments.

Responsibilities:
- Drive a mission focus within the Programme Delivery and Project Controls community, maximising value to the Customer whilst ensuring the business is provided with timely, consistent and robust information and schedules to enable effective decision making.
- Leadership, engagement and development of the Project Controls team.
- Ensure outputs from month-end reporting are meaningful and provide variance analysis developed by the team to pick out critical areas of focus and interest in the monthly account reviews.
- Ensure that in month schedule adherence / variances are communicated with project teams.
- Participate in Account and Programme reviews to senior stakeholders, picking out key action points, delegating where appropriate and following up on progress.
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives including Programme Delivery and Project Controls processes and ways of working; standardising them where appropriate across the Operating Unit.

Salary - £80,000 - £95,000
We are looking for:
- Extensive experience in leading a Project Controls or PMO office.
- Demonstrate ability and experience in leading a team.
- Experience in presenting management information and data to leadership, with an ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience in using Primavera P6 and associated planning practices.
- Experience in Risk Management, Earned Value Management and Agile methodologies.
Security clearance: You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government security clearance in line with the job role (SC).
