Our organisation is built on a clear mission: to improve outcomes for children and young people through high quality care, education and specialist support. Everything we do is centred on creating safe, nurturing environments where young people can thrive and reach their full potential.

About the role

We are looking for a confident and compassionate leader to support the day to day running of the home and help maintain a positive, high quality care environment. In this role, you will inspire and guide a dedicated care team while ensuring young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential. You will lead by example, champion the voices of young people, and play an important part in maintaining high standards of care and compliance.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of two new specialist 2 bedded services across Preston and Leyland. The Leyland home will support young people with learning disabilities (LD), while the Preston home will support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will have the chance to help shape nurturing, therapeutic environments from the very beginning, playing a key role in building strong team cultures and delivering high quality care that enables young people to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and inspiring a dedicated care team to deliver outstanding support to young people
  • Acting as the go to role model, mentor, and source of support for staff, encouraging professional development and best practice
  • Championing young people as a key worker, listening to them, safeguarding their wellbeing, and supporting them to reach their full potential
  • Contributing to care planning, audits, and processes that ensure the home remains Ofsted compliant and high performing
  • Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment where young people can grow, develop, and succeed
  • Deputising for the Registered Manager when required and supporting the smooth and effective running of the home

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about leadership, quality care, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

What we're looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3/4 in Children & Young People (or equivalent)
  • Experience in residential childcare, especially with emotional and behavioural needs

  • Career development & progression opportunities
  • In-depth training & support from day one
  • Generous recognition & loyalty schemes
  • Employee of the Quarter bonuses, Employee of the Year bonuses, bonuses linked to company performance and much more
  • Company-paid team building, seasonal functions & events
  • Refer-a-friend schemes

If you're a natural leader who thrives on making a difference and lifting others up, we want you on our team.
