We are partnering with a growing specialist lender looking for an experienced Bridging Finance BDM to drive new business across Manchester and the North West. This is a field-based role, ideal for someone with strong broker relationships and a proven track record in bridging or short-term property finance.

This role represents the next phase of our growth strategy, with a clear focus on expanding our footprint across Manchester and the surrounding northern regions.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven, and experienced Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in driving growth across Manchester, Greater Manchester, the North West, and adjacent regions. This is a home-based role, requiring you to be located in or around Manchester, with regular travel across your designated territory. You will act as the face of the business in the North, building and nurturing a strong network of introducers and driving loan originations. You will work closely with colleagues based in other UK locations via online collaboration tools, while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Market Penetration: Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy for Manchester and the wider northern regions, identifying key opportunities and priority introducers.
  • Introducer Relationship Management: Proactively identify, engage, and onboard new introducers, including mortgage brokers, commercial finance brokers, property developers, solicitors, accountants, wealth managers, and other property professionals. Build and maintain strong, long-term, and mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing introducers, driving repeat business, referrals, and loyalty. Prior industry experience with an established broker and borrower network in the region is strongly preferred.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the company's bridging loan products, criteria, and key differentiators, ensuring introducers fully understand how and when to use them.
  • Consistently meet and exceed ambitious monthly and quarterly targets and KPIs relating to loan applications and completions.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, seminars, and networking functions across Manchester and the wider North to raise brand profile and generate new leads.
  • Work collaboratively with underwriting, operations, and marketing teams using online tools, contributing to a cohesive and high-performing national business.

Skills & Experience

  • Essential: Minimum 3 years' proven business development experience within bridging finance, commercial finance, specialist lending, or mortgage origination. Demonstrable track record of generating new business and building strong introducer relationships in Manchester and/or the North of England. Strong understanding of bridging loan products, lending criteria, and regional property market dynamics. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region. Ability to work effectively from home while remaining highly accessible and engaged during working hours.
  • Desirable: Established network of introducers across Manchester, Greater Manchester, or the wider North West. Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. CeMAP, CeRER), though not essential.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive basic salary, commensurate with experience.
  • Attractive, performance-related bonus structure aligned with business growth.
  • Significant career progression opportunities within a rapidly expanding and well-capitalised lender.
  • High level of autonomy to develop your own territory and introducer base.
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture, despite a home-based structure.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in the expansion of a specialist lender across the North of England.
