We’re looking for a Scientist to join a growing R&D team focused on developing next-generation CAR-T and cell therapies in oncology .

We’re partnered with a well-funded, high-growth biotech that is scaling its immunology and cell therapy capability at the core of the business .

This is a Scientist-level role , embedded within R&D, where your lab work will directly inform experimental strategy and development decisions .

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Isolate and work with primary human immune cells (PBMCs, T cells) from blood samples
  • Culture and maintain primary and mammalian cells under aseptic conditions
  • Design, run, and optimise flow cytometry assays (immunophenotyping + functional analysis)
  • Lead and refine functional immunology assays (cytotoxicity, cytokine release, proliferation)
  • Contribute directly to CAR-T / T cell therapy workflows and development
  • Analyse, interpret, and present data to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Maintain high-quality experimental documentation (ELNs, SOPs)

What We’re Looking For

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field
  • Strong hands-on experience with primary human cells (PBMC isolation essential)
  • Proven background in CAR-T, T cell biology, or cell therapy (essential)
  • Practical expertise in flow cytometry (e.g. FlowJo)
  • Experience in biotech, pharma, or CRO environment

Desirable

  • Experience with cell separation techniques (e.g. MACS)
  • Exposure to advanced functional immunology assays
  • Track record of contributing to cell therapy development programmes
