They’re now seeking a German-speaking SME Loan Underwriter to play a key role in assessing deals, shaping underwriting processes and supporting sustainable credit growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate SME loan applications using financial statements, cash flow data and credit history.
- Deliver real-time decisions through a combination of manual review and automated tools.
- Support the design and documentation of underwriting processes tailored for the German market.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to embed credit logic into scalable platforms.
- Ensure all processes align with local regulations and best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5+ years’ experience in SME or commercial underwriting in Germany.
- Strong understanding of German credit practices and financial review standards.
- High attention to detail with the ability to make informed risk decisions quickly.
- Native German speaker with fluent English communication skills.
- Previous experience in fintech or a fast-paced financial environment is preferred.
