We are looking for reliable and professional self-employed cleaners (with right to work in UK) to carry out deep cleaning and limited cleaning services in residential properties referred by local councils. These properties may be unsanitary, cluttered, and in poor condition, and the work requires care, patience, and attention to health and safety.
Cleaners should be prepared to work in properties that may include:
- Cluttered rooms with limited walking space
- Furniture, belongings, or rubbish that may need to be moved within the property
- Vulnerable service users present or nearby
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deep cleaning of kitchens, including worktops, sinks, cupboards (externally), hobs, and floors
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and surrounding surfaces
- Deep or surface cleaning of living rooms and bedrooms, depending on scope
- Cleaning floors (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing where required)
- Bagging rubbish and assisting with waste disposal using on-site bins or skips
- Following the agreed scope of works precisely (limited clean vs deep clean)
- Reporting any access issues, resistance from residents, or safety concerns immediately
Expectations:
- Work professionally, respectfully, and without judgement
- Be patient and calm when working around vulnerable service users
- Follow all health & safety guidance and use PPE provided
- Be flexible, as jobs may be urgent (including hospital discharge cases)
- Own transport useful but not essential.
