We’re seeking an experienced and inspiring teaching assistant who:
- Is passionate about inclusion and SEND provision.
- Understands the barriers to learning that children with special educational needs may face and is able to use effective strategies to support them.
- Is able to relate well to children with additional needs, supporting them to regulate their feelings and emotions.
- Leads by example and motivates children and colleagues.
- Is creative, innovative, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Is ready to take on a rewarding challenge with real impact.
- Has an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Has literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to Level 1 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework.
- Has completed the Department for Education Teaching Assistant Induction Programme (or to be completed within the first term).
- Has a full and relevant qualification accepted by the Department for Education (DfE) to work in an early years setting.
- Has a secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Statutory Framework.
- Displays good understanding of a child’s development and learning.
- Has experience of developing learning resources that scaffold and support learning.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers.
