The Position: NMS is looking for an Overnight Physical Security Officer to join our Security Operations Centre. The Security Operations Centre is responsible for CCTV monitoring, alert monitoring, response, and escalation across our global assets. You will support the world class physical security service provided to NMS.
Responsibilities:
- A minimum 24-hour working week, primarily on weekends
- Night shifts between 6pm to 9am, with regular overtime available throughout the week
- Acting as first response for all physical security incidents and alerts
- Monitoring CCTV, alert, and threat platforms
- Monitoring access and egress of global locations ensuring policy compliance
- Conducting investigations of security incidents or policy breaches
- Leasing with relevant stakeholders such as Risk, Cyber Security, and Engineers
- Supporting technical surveillance sweeps (TSCM)
- Documenting incidents
- Manned guarding duties
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a SOC or control room environment
- A breadth of experience in physical security
- A CCTV SIA certification
- Excellent knowledge of CCTV and access control systems
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to assess and prioritise threats
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to communicate complex and technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in high-pressure situations and being able to collaborate with team members to resolve incidents
- Willingness to continuously learn and keep up to date with new technologies and techniques in physical security
- Good written and verbal communication skills
