The Position

The Director of Strategic Communications will lead the design and delivery of portfolio-wide communications, reputation management, and change strategies that enable NorthMark and its operating companies to navigate transformational initiatives with clarity, confidence, and stakeholder alignment. Embedded within the Transformation Office, the Director will partner with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to shape narrative, foster adoption of strategic change, and protect and enhance stakeholder trust.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Communications & Narrative Architecture: Lead development of clear, compelling communication strategies that articulate transformation goals, value, and impact across stakeholders.
  • Change Management & Adoption: Translate complex transformation initiatives into coherent change management communication plans.
  • Reputation & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a strategic advisor on reputation positioning and risk mitigation during high-impact moments.
  • Content Leadership & Multi-Channel Execution: Oversee creation of impactful content across platforms.
  • Portfolio Integration & Governance: Collaborate across functions to ensure communications and change strategies are integrated with broader transformation efforts.

  • Strategic Leadership: Proven aptitude for advising senior leaders, shaping narrative, and influencing through communication.
  • Operational Mindset: Comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams to translate strategy into execution.
  • Content Excellence: Strong track record of developing high-impact communications and training materials across channels.
  • Adaptive & Collaborative: Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments; fosters trust and alignment across diverse teams.
