The Position We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our expanding Delivery Team. In partnership with the Portfolio Manager, this role will be instrumental in managing our governance framework, driving Agile transformation, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact technical initiatives aligned with our long-term organisational objective.

As part of a team of Scrum Masters, you will work closely with fellow Delivery Team members, Product Owners, and the Technical Leadership Group. You will facilitate key Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Quarterly Planning, and Daily Scrums, to ensure that strategic initiatives are effectively planned, prioritised, and executed to the highest standards and to the satisfaction of our customers. Your leadership will be pivotal in cultivating a culture of agility, transparency, and continuous improvement across teams and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the adoption of Agile methodology across the organisation, promoting agile principles and practices, supporting teams in continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and adaptability.
  • Facilitate core agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment, prioritisation, and delivery focus.
  • Lead the organisation and facilitation of quarterly planning sessions across NMC², ensuring alignment with organisational SKRs.
  • Effectively capture cross functional dependencies, capacity demands, and prioritisation requirements to produce an aligned actionable quarterly plan.
  • Support the Portfolio Manager in maintaining a high standard of governance throughout the Delivery Model lifecycle, ensuring consistent application of best practices and compliance with organisational policies.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks and impediments. Facilitate resolution through collaboration, escalation, and continuous feedback loops.
  • Design and deliver agile training workshops, onboarding sessions, and learning resources to build internal capability and foster a shared understanding of agile principles.
  • Collaborate with product and technical leadership to align team backlogs with strategic roadmaps, ensuring delivery efforts support long-term organisational objectives.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Proven success in leading Agile transformations and delivering results within complex technical environments, enabling teams to achieve high performance and sustainable value delivery.
  • Deep understanding of the full lifecycle of Agile and hybrid delivery models, including backlog refinement, sprint execution, release planning, and service transition.
  • Highly structured and detail-oriented, with a disciplined approach to governance, reporting, and delivery oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide cross-functional teams in delivering complex initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and stakeholder expectations.
  • Expertise in Agile, Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with the ability to tailor approaches to team maturity, project complexity, and business context.
  • A proactive and engaged individual who supports teams at all levels - facilitating growth, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Skilled facilitator of Agile ceremonies, workshops, and planning sessions, with a proven ability to build strong relationships across business and technical functions to drive alignment.
  • Strategic thinker with strong planning and analytical skills, able to translate organisational objectives into actionable delivery plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in governance and/or technical roles, providing a strong foundation for effective engagement with Delivery and Technical team members.
