This is an exciting opportunity to support a 52-year-old male in his own home and to accompany him on some of the many and varied activities he enjoys. He has an acquired brain injury which evidences in a very short-term memory and poor awareness of danger but has a great sense of humour and a positive attitude.

He needs support 24 hours a day on a one-to-one basis to keep him safe, but he enjoys sailing, swimming, flying with an instructor, pool, golf, theatre and cinema trips, arts and crafts plus many others. Some domestic duties are involved but he attends to his own personal care.

The shifts are split morning, afternoon/evening and night time but once agreed are fixed by contract. There are currently five permanent shifts available, to be negotiated, but there is plenty of opportunity for voluntary overtime.

This post is full time but there is also the opportunity for someone looking for an interesting and varied part time position possibly combined with a second job / agency work elsewhere. Previous experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

An enhanced DBS check and a manual driving licence is required. Evidence of the right to work will be required for non-UK citizens but we regret we are not registered for sponsorship. Please include your CV.
