Senior Chef De Partie in Glasgow

Chop Grill & Bar is looking for an experienced Senior Chef De Partie to oversee daily kitchen activities and ensure that all culinary creations served meet the highest standards of excellence. In this role, candidates will work closely with the Head Chef and staff in a fast‑paced team environment to create exceptional dining experiences for our customers. We are looking for a leader who is well‑versed in culinary arts and able to inspire, lead, and educate junior kitchen staff in the art of cooking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and design of food and drink menus.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by delegating tasks to kitchen staff.
• Coordinate operations with front of house staff to ensure seamless service.
• Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities.
• Supervise and coach junior chefs and other kitchen staff to uphold our commitment to culinary excellence.
• Ensure correct portion sizes and visually inspect all food items.
• Adhere strictly to food hygiene and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• School diploma in Culinary science or related certificate with a minimum of 3 years of food service experience.
• Proven experience as a Senior Chef De Partie or similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment, multitask, and maintain a professional and positive demeanor.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.
• Certification from a culinary school is a strong advantage.
