Northland Controls is seeking an experienced Global Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our global procurement and logistics operations. This role establishes consistent, cost-effective, and scalable supply chain practices across all regions while ensuring compliance with company standards and quality expectations.
The Global Supply Chain Manager will oversee global purchasing strategy, manage international teams, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Establish procurement as a centre of excellence by defining global purchasing policies, approval guidelines, and best practices.
- Lead global procurement and logistics teams, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high-quality execution across regions.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies focused on cost reduction, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee logistics operations globally and optimise processes across all regions.
- Finalise, document, and train procurement policies and workflows within NetSuite, including cross-training and backup coverage leveraging the India buying team.
- Maintain market awareness of pricing trends, supplier capabilities, and fair market rates.
- Review and analyse bids and supplier quotations; negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while empowering regional teams to do the same.
- Prepare budgets, cost analyses, forecasts, and management reports.
- Collaborate with Operations to define inventory safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead times.
- Manage price lists and pricing updates.
- Monitor and maintain ISO-required vendor documentation to ensure compliance.
- Promote a positive, accountable culture aligned with company values and strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and logistics functions.
- Strong analytical, financial, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Expert knowledge of supply chain management, strategic sourcing, inventory management, purchasing systems, and logistics operations.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex supplier relationships.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in procurement and logistics roles.
- Demonstrated supervisory and people management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience within the security or technology integration industry.
- Experience managing international and cross-cultural teams.
This role has overall responsibility for the global supply chain team. The Global Supply Chain Manager is expected to empower team members, provide guidance in decision-making and problem-solving, set clear goals and objectives, and maintain regular communication through one-on-one meetings and team engagement.
Working Environment & Physical RequirementsThis position is office-based and may require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs / 23 kgs.
