As a Yard Controller, you take our award-winning service directly to our customers and bring to life the Northgate experience. You don’t necessarily need any previous experience to join our team as a Yard Controller, just a ‘can-do’ attitude and the confidence to deliver a great service with a smile (plus, a full UK or EU driving licence too!).
Life as a Yard Controller with Northgate Vehicle Hire
What You’ll Do
- Control all vehicle movements and manage yard space efficiently
- Carry out fleet audits, yard checks, and vehicle inspections
- Use a PDA to complete on/off-hire vehicle checks with customers
- Oversee customer vehicle arrivals and ensure smooth traffic flow
- Prepare vehicles for rental and liaise with the Asset team
- Support rental, workshop teams to hit KPIs and targets
