Northgate Resorts' Pool Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining swimming pools, splash pads, and other aquatic facilities. This full‑time or part‑time seasonal position reports to the Facilities Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform water tests multiple times throughout the day.
- Maintain water chemistry and safely handle chemicals.
- Ensure circulation and filtration remain at proper levels.
- Conduct daily safety inspections, document and fix any issues, and report unresolved issues immediately.
- Vacuum all pools, clean all skimmer baskets, and clean all decks in all aquatic facility areas.
- Work closely with lifeguards to comply with all state and local regulations.
- Maintain all required reports.
- Maintain SDS and inventory for all chemicals.
- Perform daily maintenance tasks as assigned by the Park Operations Manager and/or Facilities Manager.
- Oversee pool deck activity and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Participate in other projects and activities as assigned.
Education / Training / Experience
- Experience working with pools and CPO certification is a plus.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications are a plus.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Required to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes good relations with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management.
Essential Physical Demands
- Able to move up to 80 pounds.
- Able to remain in a stationary position.
- Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl.
- Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, serve, etc.
- Constant exposure to outside weather conditions.
