Job Description
As a Marketing Manager, you will need to:
- Create and develop customer acquisition programmes with a focus on User Centred Design and Digital Transformation across Health organisations.
- Communicate with target audiences and build and develop clear understanding and recognition of UCD capacity and training.
- Implement marketing campaigns including advertising, direct marketing, digital and media relations to drive new business and client retention for NEC.
- Work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts to promote NEC Digital, including training, service design and user centred research.
- Write and proofread marketing copy.
- Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts.
- Oversee content creation for NEC Digital UCD and training focused social media channels.
- Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions.
- Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials.
- Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
And with support, you will need to:
- Support the development and implementation of a communications strategy for wider NECSWS with a particular focus on Health and Justice activities.
- Manage stakeholders' expectations.
- Track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare monthly reports for management.
- Monitor and report on competitor activity.
- Lead external agencies, when appropriate, to effectively manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials and online activities.

- Demonstrable experience as a senior marketing manager.
- Adaptability.
- Public Sector experience – in particular Health and Justice.
- Experience of B2B lead generation techniques.
- Demonstrates success in improving ROI – lead generation.

- Able to manage stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communicator.
