We are seeking an Art and Design Technician to support the day‑to‑day running of our Design Faculty across Northgate High School and Dereham Sixth Form College. The role involves inspiring and enriching students’ understanding of art and design through display and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day‑to‑day operations of the Design Faculty.
  • Set up exhibitions and support events, including extra‑curricular activities, outside of school hours.
  • Provide equipment and resources to inspire and enrich students’ understanding of art and design.
  • Collaborate with staff to maintain high‑quality teaching and support.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in art and design practical work that meets teaching, student, and learning needs.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of the art and design curriculum.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and students.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure.

Salary and Benefits:

Scale E (Full‑time salary range £26,403 – £28,142). Actual salary £23,191 – £24,718. Competitive salary, pension scheme, private health care plan, physiotherapy provision, and an employee assistance helpline.
