Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality small group interventions across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping accelerate progress and raise attainment for all pupils.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality small-group interventions across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Cover teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.
• Deliver engaging and effective learning experiences across a range of year groups and subjects.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, maintain high expectations and adapt teaching approaches to meet learner needs.

In addition, the role will involve covering teachers’ PPA time, delivering engaging and effective learning experiences across a range of year groups and subjects. The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, maintain high expectations and adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners is essential.

A passion for working with children and a commitment to improving outcomes for all pupils are fundamental to this role. The position requires a dedicated, flexible and organised individual who approaches their work with professionalism, positivity, integrity and confidentiality. The successful applicant will receive support from the school's Senior Leadership Team and will be a valued member of our school community, contributing to the continued success and development of our pupils.
