We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our IT Department as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity for a passionate technician to deliver front line IT support.
Contract type: Permanent - Full Time Support Staff - 36.5 hours all year round
Salary / Grade: NJC PT3 – PT8 (£24,796 - £27,254)
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Provide front line IT support to staff and students.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software systems, including laptops, desktops, printers, and network devices.
- Assist with installation and troubleshooting of software applications and digital platforms used within the school environment.
- Implement and support cyber security measures to protect student data and school systems.
- Document and record incidents, work orders and resolutions in the IT system.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and colleagues to plan and carry out system upgrades, migrations and improvements.
- Provide training and support to students and teachers on technology use.
Qualifications:
- Up-to-date knowledge of current developments in digital technology systems, cyber security and digital platforms used in a school environment.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Commitment to student safety and safeguarding.
- Willingness to complete DBS checks and other pre-employment checks.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
