At Northern Trains, the Infrastructure Change Programme is delivering a number of key infrastructure projects across the Northern network, to include major infrastructure renewal and enhancement schemes. We’re now seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects in the East that support our Delivery Plan and strengthen long-term operational resilience across the Northern network.

You will:

  • Lead a portfolio of depot‑related infrastructure enhancement projects
  • Facilitate detailed functional and non‑functional requirements gathering including prioritisation
  • Manage end‑to‑end project lifecycle governance, documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including contractors, sponsors, freight operators and local authorities
  • Manage schedules, risk, change control, budgets (as defined by project scope) and resource planning
  • Produce regular status reports highlighting progress and decisions required
  • Recommend best practice improvements to project governance and undertake lessons learnt exercises
  • Ensure safe delivery in line with CDM, SHE and industry standards
