Ready to roll up your sleeves and keep our TrainCare Centre in top condition? We’re on the lookout for a motivated and hardworking TrainCare Centre Cleaner to join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping a cleaner, more connected future for rail travel.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out external cleaning of Northern Trains on the depot, ensuring they meet the high standards our customers and stakeholders expect.
- Use high-pressure equipment to clean train components and assist skilled tradespeople with maintenance tasks on trains.
- Maintain the depot’s upkeep, including tidying walkways, cutting grass, trimming trees, and performing other groundwork tasks while working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Handle fueling, tanking, and CET duties for arriving trains and contribute to a clean, safe, and presentable environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet shared goals, follow instructions, and ensure high standards are consistently maintained.
Candidate Profile:
- Reliable and hardworking, ready to take on a challenging but rewarding role that keeps our depots and trains in top condition.
- Flexible and able to adapt to ever-changing demands, including working weekends.
- Detail-oriented, focused on following instructions and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Willing to learn – no experience is necessary, as we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed in this role.
