What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate the planning, design, and delivery of multiple station improvement projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure robust project controls around scope, cost, programme, risk, and quality — delivering results that meet customer and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (including Network Rail) to ensure alignment, access planning, and efficient delivery.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear project requirements, business cases, and technical scopes that align with industry and railway standards.
- Oversee contract management activities, including design reviews, site meetings, commercial evaluations, and governance compliance.
- Travel around Greater Manchester and Merseyside to support project stakeholders.
About You
- Proven experience in project management within construction, property, or rail infrastructure — ideally with relevant qualifications and membership of a professional body.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- A thorough understanding of CDM Regulations, CSM, HSE legislation, and relevant building and railway standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and across organisations.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage complex projects independently and collaboratively.
