A key clinical role delivering proactive, evidence-based occupational health across the network. You will help prevent absence, support recovery, and embed wellbeing into operational performance.

Reporting to the Attendance and Wellbeing Lead, you will work closely with Operations Managers, People teams, Safety, Employee Relations, Clinical leads and external Occupational Health and Wellbeing providers.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Deliver clinical case management to support attendance and manage occupational ill health
  • Triage and refer cases to appropriate services (physio, counselling, specialist services)
  • Undertake medication checks to support safe working and reduce unnecessary stand‐down
  • Support managers to interpret medical reports and challenge outcomes where appropriate
  • Deliver health surveillance (noise, HAVs, night workers, spirometry)
  • Lead health promotion and wellbeing initiatives in line with the Attendance and Wellbeing Plan
  • Support risk and capability assessments
  • Analyse data to identify trends and drive improvements
  • Support delivery of drug and alcohol testing programmes

  • Registered General Nurse (NMC)
  • Experience in complex case management and safety‐critical environments
  • Strong health surveillance and risk assessment experience
  • Proven ability managing mental health and MSK cases
  • Confident clinical decision‐making and referral management
  • Ability to analyse data and provide recommendations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible approach with ability to travel across the network
  • Commitment to maintaining NMC registration and developing in Occupational Health
  • Desirable: vaccination delivery, experience in a unionised environment
