At our TrainCare Centres, engineering teams work around the clock to keep Northern\’s trains safe, reliable, and ready for customers. Behind the scenes, our admin team makes sure records are accurate, processes run smoothly, and colleagues have the support they need to do their best work. That\’s where you\’d come in.
As an Administrative Assistant, you\’d play a key role in keeping our TrainCare Centre organised. From managing maintenance records to supporting rostering, pay, and reporting, this role touches almost every part of the operation. It\’s varied, fast paced, and full of opportunities to learn.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and maintaining vehicle maintenance records and related systems.
- Raising purchase orders and keeping track of budgets.
- Taking minutes and providing updates where needed.
- Supporting recruitment admin, including candidate feedback.
- Coordinating rosters and extracting pay reports. Assisting with absence management, including sending referrals.
- Providing day-to-day support to colleagues across the TrainCare Centre.
