Role/Department:

The Digital Assets and Innovation group leverages intelligence and research to support new opportunities to drive profitable business growth and promote the next-generation enterprise operating model and client service solutions, focusing predominantly on digital assets.

The Specialist, Business Analysis acts as a lead business analyst, driving the successful delivery of complex, high-impact projects across multiple business units. This role is responsible for conducting feasibility analysis, defining business requirements, and ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives. In addition to project execution, the Specialist contributes to operating model design and operational readiness efforts, ensuring that business and operational teams are prepared for change. While deep expertise in these areas is not required, a solid understanding and ability to apply best practices are essential. The Specialist also provides mentorship and coaching to Consultants and Senior Consultants, enhancing the team's analytical capabilities and promoting best practices. Additionally, the role requires working knowledge of functional testing, including feeding into the testing strategy, test planning, and other testing deliverables to ensure high-quality implementation.

They key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Business Analysis: Act as the lead business analyst on large, multi-business-unit projects performing thorough analysis and gathering of client requirements, business processes, and market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation. This includes conducting feasibility analysis, assessing business needs, risks, and potential solutions as well as supporting the design and implementation of operating models, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Operational Readiness: Contribute to operational readiness efforts, ensuring teams are prepared for transition whilst considering the education required around new technologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, product managers, developers, and QA teams, to foster collaboration and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with senior execs and sponsors to define project scope, priorities, and deliverables as well foster engagement and support.
  • Solution Design: Develop comprehensive solution designs in collaboration with architecture and technology teams, including functional specifications, wireframes, and process flows, to address business needs and drive innovation initiatives.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and issues related to product development initiatives and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams and provide consultation to review test plans, participate in testing activities, and ensure the quality and reliability of deliverables before deployment to production.
  • Feasibility Analysis: Evaluate the feasibility of new products and product enhancements by assessing factors such as market demand, technical feasibility, resource requirements, and potential return on investment.
  • Mentor and Coach: Demonstrate leadership amongst your peers by offering support and guidance to consultants and Senior Consultants in order to foster their skill development.

Skills/Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • In depth experience in business analysis, product development, or related roles within the financial services industry, preferably in asset servicing or investment management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, agile practices, and software development lifecycle.
  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., BCS, CBAP, PMI-PBA) and project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
